In Talking Plants & Morning Urine, three young designers are followed after winning the Designers and Artists 4 Genomics Award (DA4GA). The award offers them a unique opportunity to work with scientists on the creation of a BioArt design. Talking Plants & Morning Urine is a film about three young designers interacting with scientists in the creation of a work of art. Besides focusing on the process of making this design, the film offers a view on what it means to be a designer working on the frontiers of unexplored territory. Discover how the designers combine scientific knowledge with their own ideas; what they expect from the collaboration and what they hope to achieve when their work is completed.
The film shows how the designers are inspired by science, how their inspiration turns into questions they want to explore, and how this exploration results in a BioArt object.
